Hands-On class turning platters with an endless choice of design! A new spin on platters make great wall art. Multi-dimensional platters with enhancements that draw your eye back to the center. You'll use a variety of tools and because of the off-set turning, you'll learn to turn air.  Material cost payable in class $15.00

Supply list for John Keeton hands-on class

For tools, a parting tool, a 1/2” bowl gouge, and a 3/8” V gouge would come in handy. For the back of the platter, I use the Sorby micro texturing tool and a Wagner knurling tool, as well as a couple of specifically ground scrapers that I will have with me that can be used by the participants. I also use D-Way beading tools, but again, I will have those that can be used. They will need sandpaper through 400 and some 0000 steel wool.
