About this event

  • Topic:  Begin with a simple wooden disk. Using multiple offsets, create a "rose" with three to six sets of petals using intersecting cuts. Enhance the surfaces with beading. Create a "petal edge" by cutting away the outer circular edges. Add interwoven rings in the central medallion using additional offsets.
  • Skill Level: Intermediate
  • Project: Decorative rose or wreath
  • HandoutMaking a Rose by Bob Henrickson
  • Pre-requisite:  Complete comfort turning platters with tenons, beads and coves - and keeping them consistent. Good tool control is expected.
