About this event
Come and learn to turn a finial. Wood selection and design aspects will be covered along with techniques for turning slender spindle work without tailstock support. Students should have prior experience in spindle turning.
Tools Needed:
- Small roughing gouge
- Spindle gouge: a 3/8” is preferred but a 1/2” will work
- Parting tool
- Thin parting tool
- Vernier calipers
- Ruler
- Paper and pencil
