I am writing to make you aware of a provision in the OVWG Bylaws that pertains to the naming of Honorary Lifetime Memberships in the Guild. Below, I have provided a copy of the paragraph that deals with this. I apologize for getting this announcement out a bit late. However, there is still plenty of time for you to nominate someone for this honor. To do so, send an email, text, or written note to a member of the Executive Committee by November 1, 2025, providing the name of a person who you believe is deserving of this recognition. The Executive Committee will consider all nominations and determine the recipient(s). Executive Committee members include: Jerry Warner, David Wright, John Albachten, Kurt Foglesong, and Todd Carris. C. Honorary Lifetime Members: Members who have served OVWG in an outstanding manner over several years may be recognized as Honorary Lifetime Members. In September of each year the Executive Committee will solicit nominations from the membership at large for individuals to be considered for honorary lifetime membership. The Executive Committee will make the final decision as to who receives this honor. Generally, this will result in one appointment per year. However, in exceptional cases more than one person may be so recognized in the same year. An honorary lifetime member is exempt from the payment of OVWG membership fees for the remainder of her/his life.
