About this event
- Topic: Learn to turn Multi-Axis forms. This hands-on class walks through the steps necessary to create a multi-axis piece.
- Specific content: Selecting wood, selecting tools, mounting and turning challenges, finishing recommendations, discussion on advanced forms.
- Tools: All tools will be provided in the class. Bring you own if you prefer. Spindle gouge and/or detail gouge is main tool used.
- Skill Level: Intermediate skills, must be comfortable around off-axis pieces and have good tool control. Instructors will be available to guide and assist you, but you should be comfortable with all aspects of lathe turning.
- Project: Complete a multi-axis object.
- Materials: All materials will be provided in the class. Specialty tools will be made available by the .
- Pre-requisite: Introduction to Woodturning and the OVWG Learning Center.
