IMPORTANT SUPPLEMENTAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Please read each item on the registration carefully and check the boxes that you desire. Read carefully so you don't miss something you need or want. During registration, you can back up and start over if you need to.
Turning 2023 will be held at The Higher Ground Conference & Retreat Center in rural West Harrison, Indiana. The center is located in a rustic area surrounded by rolling tree filled hills. This environment encourages attendees to stay on site, dine with new and old friends, and enjoy the camaraderie and open sharing of woodturning experience.
The fee for the various Symposium Demonstration Sessions Pass options DOES NOT INCLUDE meals for the day or days chosen.
To register as a Student you must be a full-time student under age 25. Students under the age of 18 must be accompanied to meetings and activities by a responsible adult.
If you are also registering Spouse, Guest or Child you will have to enter them as 'Guest' at the beginning of your registration process. When you see this:
Click the Me+ button and enter the number of Guests you will be registering in addition to yourself. You then will be asked identifying information and which activities and meals you desire for each person you are registering.
Otherwise, click 'Next' if you want to continue your registration without adding any guests. You can add a Guest to your registration when asked as above or you can register & pay for Guests on separate registrations now or later.
In an effort to promote woodturning to the younger generation we have reduced the Symposium fees for full-time students under age 25. To be presented with the lower fees you will need to select the Student option when you see the below options during registration. The default is Registrant.
If you are a Vendor selling at the Symposium please choose Vendor at this point in the registration process. When you choose that category the zero and/or reduced cost items will be checked. You will then proceed to check the additional items you wish to purchase.
If you are not a Vendor or Student and are entitled to other fee reductions you will have been told which category to choose. When you choose that category the zero and/or reduced cost items will be checked. You will then proceed to check the additional items you wish to purchase.
If you have not been told you are a different category DO NOT select any other category except Registrant.
If you qualify as a Student or Vendor please click that option. Please DO NOT select the Student or Vendor or any other option if you do not qualify. We are watching and will contact you if you choose inappropriately.
Students under age 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Lodging and meal fees are unchanged for Students.
There are a variety of meal plans and options. Choose Thursday dinner, either alone or as part of the 9 meal plan, if you plan to arrive Thursday or live locally and wish to join us for the featured turners' slideshows on their work.
There are 3-day, 8 or 9 meal options for a Guest that will join you but not attend the Symposium Breakout Sessions (this option includes the Saturday Banquet). If Guest will ONLY join you for Saturday Banquet there is an option for that also.
The on-site Check-in / Registration Desk will be located in the lobby of the Graves Family Life Center (opposite dining hall). It will reopen at 7:30 AM on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
