OVWG June Picnic
If you have not already done so, you need to mark your calendars for the upcoming June Picnic. It will be held June 24, 2023 at the Evendale Park Open Shelter. In addition to the regular fun and food we are having a couple of special events this year. The first item I want to mention is the Contest, which will be to make Companion Pieces. The pieces can be two identical pieces or two pieces which complement each other. There are no other parameters, so leave it to your imagination to create two pieces which would be companions. The second item is to bring a Beads of Courage box, which will be donated to the Cincinnati Childrens Hospital Medical Center Beads of Courage program. We are making this event a tribute to John Jackobs, who for the past few years has managed our Beads of Courage program. The boxes will be collected at the Picnic and then transported to the Hospital. If you are unable to bring your box to the Picnic, there is a spot in the Learning Center, to drop off your completed box(es). |
