OVWG ACTIVITIES
Just wanted to give you a quick update on recent and upcoming activities and to wish each of you a happy Thanksgiving. I know it can get even busier than normal this time of the year so I will try to keep the number of emails sent out to a minimum.
First, I want to thank all of you who contributed items for the Oxford Empty Bowls event. Even with the shorter than normal time frame, you were able to come through and we were able to provide them with a good number of items for the auction. I do not have an exact count, since some of the items came boxed and I did not even open all the boxes. I would guess though that we had around 50 pieces. I thank you and the people who will benefit from the donations also thank you.
Second, I am sad to say, is that we had to cancel our participation in the Oxford Community Arts Center Exhibition. You cannot have an exhibition without exhibitors and we did not have enough people agree to submit items for the exhibition.
Lastly, just another reminder that this Saturday, November 19th, will be our IRD featuring Eric Lofstrom. The IRD will start at 10:00 am and run for around two hours. Eric is an excellent demonstrator and since the session is live and interactive, you will be able to ask questions just as you would at an in-person meeting. You must sign up in advance for the IRD and once you complete the registration you will receive an email with the Zoom invitation. Registrations should be done no later than 8:00 pm, Friday, November 18th so we can generate the rosters for the session. We will open the session for you to sign in around 9:30 am Saturday morning. So, take a break from your holiday preparations and sit back, relax and watch Eric make one of his spectacular pieces. |
