Turn Fest 2022
Now that we have completed our first post COVID turning year, it is time to start getting ready for the 2022/2023 turning year. We will kick off the new year on September 17th with Turn Fest. This year the plan is to have an event similar to the Demo Day we did last year. We want to have multiple stations set up in the Learning Center with demonstrations going on at each station. Each demonstration will last an hour to an hour and a half and then attendees can go to another demonstration. Since this is the time of the year when thoughts turn to holiday oriented turnings, the plan is to have most of the demonstrations holiday centered. Obviously, in order to accomplish this event, there is a need for members to volunteer to be a demonstrator. If you would be willing to do a short demonstration please let David Wright know. You do not have to commit to a certain project at this time and it does not have to be holiday oriented if you would prefer to do another type demonstration. Hope to hear from many of you soon and in the mean time take advantage of the many events going on in the Learning Center. |
