Ohio Valley Woodturners Guild

Presents

Turning 2017

Dear Vendor:

The Ohio Valley Woodturner’s Guild (OVWG) cordially invites you to be considered to sell your woodturning products at our biennial “Turning 2017 Woodturning Symposium”. The symposium is held at Higher Ground Conference and Retreat Center, located in the greater Cincinnati area, and will be held October 13-15, 2017. We expect another sellout with more than 250 attendees expected each day.

We will have a line up of 5 talented professional demonstrators. In addition to the featured professionals, a number of regional and nationally recognized woodturners are also scheduled to appear, offering a wide range of project and tool demonstrations.

The professional demonstrators were carefully selected to exhibit a wide range of woodturning projects, use of various tools, finishes, jigs, and specialty products. You are welcome to contact the scheduled pro turners regarding use of your products during any of their scheduled demonstrations. They are listed on the main symposium page.

A total of 27 vendor booths (standard size: 10' x 10') will be available. The fee for one booth is $250. Additional 10' x 10' spaces are $150 each.

We request that you donate a woodturning tool(s) or similar product(s) with a retail value equal to your total booth rental fee. Please give the item(s) to the Vendor Chairman by noon on Friday of the Symposium. On receipt of the product donation, your booth reservation fee will be refunded to you. Your product donation will be displayed with advertising throughout the symposium at the main entrance to the demonstration area, and will be auctioned on Saturday. Proceeds from the auction support OVWG activities throughout the year including our very popular youth and outreach educational programs.

Our demonstration schedule will include several breaks throughout each day intended to increase vendor area traffic. Every effort will be made by demonstrators and OVWG volunteers to promote all vendors in attendance. You are encouraged to open your booth at 7:30 am each day, prior to the initial round of demonstrations starting at 8:00 am.  You may wish to focus sales efforts during the breaks between rotations and for meals. We will give you a schedule of events on arrival.  Special promotions, coupons, etc. are encouraged. Let us know how we can support your sales efforts.

If you are interested in being considered as a vendor for our event, contact Michael Getz, 329 Miami Lakes Drive, Milford, OH 45150 by March 31, 2017, phone:  513-831-1912, email:  gike64@yahoo.com.  Confirmation of reservation will be sent no later than 2 weeks after receipt of your booth fee, which we wish to receive by April 1, 2017. One month before the symposium you will receive details on the booth setup process and timing, offload support, nearby motels, etc.

Thank you for your interest in Turning 2017!
